There is no room for growth within the organization. When I was first hired by my current company, I was told about all the great growth they were experiencing and how there was tremendous opportunity for me to shot up the ranks. Unfortunately, the growth was not there and the salary I accepted is not growing either.
Plan to do laundry while you’re traveling (even if that means doing them in your hotel room sink!). This way you won’t feel as compelled to take as many clothes.
Think about your product or service from the customer’s perspective. For example, if you have a travel booking site, what makes you better than Travelocity or Expedia? Are your rates better? Do you offer faster service, an easier interface, additional services? What would make somebody buy from you instead of the big names?
Shopping – You can find every product online now which makes shopping a whole lot easier. Have a virtual assistant find that perfect gift for that “hard to buy for” person in your life. Gifts can be purchased for you or your VA can locate that elusive CD, game, book, or technological gadget that you cannot seem to find and then tell you how and where to purchase it.
Don’t waste food. The holidays are the biggest eating time of the year. We cook more, we bake like crazy, we basically overindulge. This means that much food gets wasted. Make sure any and all food scraps go into the compost, not the trash can! Freeze or share what you cannot eat yourselves. If you have an abundance of leftovers, take it to your local homeless shelter, a shut in neighbor, or maybe invite someone less fortunate to share your meal. Cookies, cakes and pies given to a shelter or nursing home would be greatly appreciated.
HEARTS BRIMMING WITH MELODY. One church group brought a whole bunch of children and entertain the inmates with popular Christmas carols. I thought it was an extraordinary thing. Their group operates from a locality quite distant to the jail. Their coming to the jail to sing carols to people who may have given the community a real headache once and thus unable to give coins and candies, resonates a distinct unmistakable sound. Now I think I heard something is extraordinary.
23. When you land at the airport don’t let the timeshare people stop you on the way through the airport. Continue past hem out the exit of the airport. That is where your transfer or ground transportation is located. They will be waiting out there with your name on a sign.

Gifts. Local hosts, if you are staying in a Niagara Falls Bed and Breakfast, appreciate local goodies from your area or country. Bring some food that you think others may enjoy, or something else that your area is known for. One kind gesture goes a long way!
