A travel blog
that wrote itself.
Eight years, 2,872 pages, several posts a day — spun articles, reposted photos, eBay listings.
Then a €250 price tag, and two clones that weren’t about travel at all.
“Giggle right up towards the financial institution.”
The blog
Articles, Landscape Photos, Videos, Travel goods, Hotel booking, Car rental, Flight Reservation — and an Android app. 2014–2022.
The machine
Synonym spinners, Flickr and YouTube feeds, eBay searches for “travel”, dlvr.it syndication. Some 28,000 posts, nobody typing.
Taglines and a few lines of spun prose are quoted so the mechanism can be recognised. The reposted photos, videos and listings belonged to others and are not reproduced.
2026A NAME WITH A PAST. A SITE WITH A FUTURE.
1,650 old links.
Each one still lands somewhere.
The Wayback Machine kept about 1,650 of the blog’s post addresses. Every one of them now redirects to the page that explains what it was — exactly those, so a made-up address still gets a real 404 — and the two clones’ paths return 410.
We’re following the snapshots and being honest about the gaps. Come take a look around.
